When to go to Hawaii

One of the biggest reasons for the Hawaiian islands to get a lot of crowd, aside from its natural beauty, is the fact that the weather here is excellent throughout the year.

The summer season at the Hawaiian Islands dates from June to August while the winter season ranges between December and March. The summer season is the peak season and it receives the maximum density of visitors and it is the time when the rates at the hotels and resorts are comparatively high. The average day temperature throughout the year ranges from 23 C to 30 C depending upon the location. The whole winter season comes with heavy rain which can continue even for two or three consecutive days. Thus, affecting the plans of the visitors to visit different places at the islands. The plus point of the winter season is that it is the off season and beaches, hotels and resorts are almost empty. The rates are very low. Although, weather may be a problem at a specific day, but the fares are very low and you can bear the expanses of living a long holiday at the islands.

If you want to enjoy hot and dry weather then the western and southern areas of Hawaii are best. On the other hand, weather of the eastern and northern areas is cool and moist. The best months for visiting Hawaii are April, May and October. During these months, the weather is excellent. The waters are calm and cool, very suitable for families to enjoy snorkeling, swimming, water sports and surfing. Oahu is known for its weather to be the best in the Hawaiian Islands. Although rain is expected anytime but the winters come with rain and summers have dry weather. If someone wants to see the humpback whales then the best time to visit Hawaii is from November to April, as these whales come here every year during this season for mating. The Molokai Island has a drier weather while Kauai has wet weather. For hilly areas at a height of more than 7000 feet, the weather is unpredictable. You can expect heavy rains, winds and snow falling in winters.

In September and October, the probability of a hurricane or tsunami arriving at the island can never be taken out of mind as some of the beaches have been hit with these calamities in the previous years. But it was almost more than fifteen years back. As after that, each next day at the Hawaiian Islands has been more pleasant and sunny than the previous day. The always advisable things for the visitors is that, once you have reached Hawaii and want to plan a trip to anywhere within Hawaii, then you must check the weather of your destination from the National Weather Service.
