Portlock is situated at the eastern end of Hawaii Kai, close to the eastern tip of Oahu. It is renowned as being one of the most exclusive living areas of the entire island. Henry Kaiser, developer, the Hawaii Kai, built his multi acre estate here, with spectacular views of Diamond Head and the bay. Portlock was named after Captain Nathaniel Portlock who wrote the first description of Pearl Harbour ever to be published, which happened in 1789. It is located across from Maunalua Bay.
