The City of Kapolei District
The city of Kapolei District is often referred to as the "second city" of Oahu, and is a portion of a long term developmental plan by The Estate of James Campbell. It is an urban center developed for those who want to work, rest and have fun all in one location. The region of Kapolei circumscribes the largest industrial park in the state, as well as the second most used commercial harbor, a newly constructed second business park and a vacation resort sector, as well as boasting it's own telecommunications infrastructure. The newer residential neighborhoods in the area present the option of living in a townhouse, one family dwellings, and of course executive style ocean side and golf course adjacent homes close to luxuries such as parks, recreational centers, gyms, and naturally, golf courses. There has also been some substantial development in some neighborhoods thanks to private companies, with many areas now offering shopping centers, a water theme adventure park, both public and private schools, a movie theatre megaplex, marina and a local hospital

Villages of Kapolei District
The Villages of Kapolei District is made up of eight different private residential sectors, a senior accommodation area, three schools, one golf course, several parks and two neighborhood recreational activity centers. In five of the districts villages have already been constructed, with the other three in various stages of planning. The already established villages are named; A'eloa, Malanai, Kumu Iki, Kekuilani and Kulalani. Home buyers decide between townhouses, condominiums and single family homes, and they receive greater value for money when buying a home here than in the Honolulu real estate districts. All of the newly constructed homes have high end cabinetry and fixtures as well as high ceilings, and are designed with reasonable affordability in mind.
