Halawa Real Estate Information

Located in the center of Oahu, Halawa is a portion of a divider that splits the land into segments that run from the mountain to the ocean, or an ahupuaa that is also called Halawa. This particular ahupuaa is both historically and culturally vital for the natives of Hawaii for centuries. Most of the area known as the Halawa Valley is relatively untouched, but residents who are undertaking the preservation of Halawa are deeply offended by the pollutants that have been dumped into Pearl Harbor, which is located on the side of the valley near the ocean. The H-3 freeway's construction is also detrimental to spots that are sacred to native Hawaiians. The path of the H-3 is disrupted in an attempt to avoid the spot as much as possible. For those who don't wish to make the trek, there are eateries and services nearby; the Aloha Stadium is very near to Halawa, which is the primary venue for sporting events on the island, particularly the Warriors, the football team of the University of Hawaii. This venue also plays host to a weekly swap meet, where shoppers can find many different items for sale. A nearby shopping center is home to fast-food eateries as well as restaurants that feature food from the area, smaller boutiques, and Oahu's sole ice-skating rink.
