It is an extremely popular location for hikers, as the ridge offers long hikes in which you are met with spectacular views. It provides a view of the marina, Koko Crater and Koko Head, as well as an impressive over look towards Diamond Head.

Houses in Mariners Ridge were constructed in the late 1970s and almost all of them have since been renovated and remodelled. Size wise, they vary from 1,600 square feet to roughly 2,800 square feet.

Architecturally, they make the most of their respective locations, with many standing two stories high, with the lower levels sitting on the side of ridge.

In 2007 16 homes sold in Mariners Ridge, ranging in price from $795,000 to $1.19 million, while 2008 saw 5 sales with price tags from $870,000 to $1 million.
