Search Kahala Real Estate

A beautifully rounded and distinct suburb, Kahala is home to the Kahala Hotel the Kahala Mall. The residential lots in the Waialae area have a median size of 7,000 to 8,000 feet, although the area also has larger lots, around 10,000 square feet, many of which have swimming pools and large lawns - which explains their high demand and high price tags.

Some of the most expensive properties in the United States today can be found locally, with the beach front homes in Kahala nearing the top of that exclusive list. If it is a great view you are looking for, the hillside is home a group of executive housing and known as the Waialaae Iki. There are also the Kai Nani golf course homes and the Wailupe peninsula to be considered.

All You Need to Know about Kahala

Kahala is a town located nearby to Honolulu. In the east of Kahala, you will find Diamond Head. There are many large residential neighborhoods in Kahala. Most of the houses in Kahala are expensive and cost millions of dollars. The mansions in Kahala have large lawns with many palm trees. Famous celebrities often purchase their second homes in Kahala. If you are an investor, you can buy an old house at a lower cost and get it renovated. After that, you can sell it to a buyer at a higher price. The majority of the residents have lived in Kahala for more than one century. People who just move to the town usually will settle in larger homes. A tear down house has an estimate cost of in between $1.4 - $1.7 millions. Homes located in front of the beach will cost more. If you visit Kahala, you will notice that the land is flat. It is the only area in Honolulu where the land remains to be flat. If you are from Waikiki, you can reach Kahala within 15 minutes. If you drive at a faster speed, you can reach it in 5 minutes. 

Many luxurious hotels and resorts can be found in Kahala. For example, the Kahala Resort and Hotel, also called Kohala Mandarin Oriental hotel is located in Kahala. There are many beautiful islands offshore the beaches in Kahala. The main feature of the Kohala Mandarin Oriental hotel is that it has a dolphin lagoon. The dolphin lagoon is home to a few dolphins. If you go to the hotel, you can see a few dolphins swimming. There is a daily dolphin show at the dolphin lagoon.  Many secluded beaches can be found in Kahala. Unlike other beaches in Waikiki, the beaches in Kahala are not crowded.

If you want to go shopping, you must visit the Kahala Mall. The beaches in Kahala are seldom crowded. If you are looking for a place with peaceful atmosphere, you can go to the Kahala beach. When snorkeling, be sure to watch out for the sharp edges of the coral reefs. If you don’t pay attention, you may accidentally scratch yourself. There are several schools offering education in Kahala. The public schools in Kahala are operated by the Hawaii Department of Education. The Kahala Elementary School can be found in the neighborhood. There is also a high school called Kalani High School in Kahala.
