North Shore is known across the globe for it's fabulously tropical and picturesque beaches, including Waimea Bay, Ehukai and the aptly named "Sunset". Each year there are world class surfing competitions here, they are held in the winter when the waves reach heights of 20 to 45 feet high. When visiting Haleiwa town you will find an overabundance of surfing shops, sweet old buildings, art galleries, restaurants and cafes, grocers and the only boat harbor located on the North Shore. Here, beach front homes are everywhere, which makes sense when you consider the fact that the beaches of the North Shore are its major draw. If you are looking for a vacation home, Kulima, a section of the Turtle Bay Hotel and resort, has townhouses available all year round, it is one of the only places in Oahu in which lots are measured by acreage as oppose to square feet.
Haleiwa Town is reached through crossing over the Anahulu River and around Rainbow Bridge, after someone reaches this destination they may find that they are having the need to go surfing and start strumming an ukulele. The town is home to around 40 surf breaks and is situated on the north shore of Oahu. The area also has the nickname Seven Mile Miracle.
The town has saved its historic structure and preserved its roots. So those that visit are going to be engrossed in a town that is historical at its core. Those that are looking to invest into the area, are going to find that it is still quite possible to have a slice of Haleiwa pie. There are around 3,000 people that live in the area, thus those that choose to move to the area are going to find that they are in a secluded and relaxing area, just the thing that many people are looking for.
The downtown of the area is home to many galleries, cafes, boutiques and of course surf shops. The people that spend their time in the area enjoy going through the downtown area as well as enjoying several outdoors sports such as kayaking, fishing, stand up paddle boarding and of course surfing.
There are palm tree lines trails and other ideas of what life was like years ago. This is the dream destination for many people and those that are thinking that they would love to be here, then they should be talking to a real estate agent in the area to find their future dream home since these people are going to be able to find something that is perfect for you.
