Search Waikiki Real Estate & Condos for Sale

Waikiki, a world-renowned beach resort, sits at 2 miles in length yet maintains its position as the pique of the billion-dollar Hawaiian tourism industry. It has plenty of restaurants, hotels and nightlife opportunities scattered throughout - although not too scattered, as more or less everything is within walking distance. The population here is far denser than most of the surrounding areas, and the condominiums carpet large portions of the district; although you can still find some nice, older buildings if you really look for them. Waikiki real estate is a great investment, which is very easy to rent out to cover your costs.

You will find some very busy condos are in fact running hotel type businesses, or short-term rentals. It is the one area in which rental properties can obtain fully furnished, including bedding and dinnerware. If you are looking for a slightly quieter and less crowded spot you might want to consider the Gold Coast, it's at one end of Waikiki so still close to everything you will want to see while being far enough out to have an entirely different feel to it.

Waikiki is home to around 25,000 residents. But even those this is a huge tourist attraction with around 70,000 visitors on a daily basis, it still has some charm to it that the person is going to find attractive. And not to mention that there are tons of things for the person to do and many beaches to choose from. For those that want to find a beach community that is surrounded by palm tress, and has all the things that the person expects to find with Hawaii, then they are in luck because it can be found here.

Waikiki is mainly thought of to be a major tourist destination, but there is more to it than that. There is something for everyone when they visit Waikiki; in fact, most of the things around the area originate in Waikiki. Which means that the person is getting everything in one area without having to travel all over.

In terms of where to stay, most of the major hotel chains are present in Waikiki. For example, the Hilton or the Sheraton. However, there are hotels that are there that are fit to accommodate almost any budget. There are tons of condos and vacation rentals that the person can choose from as well. However, for those that want a beautiful place to stay they should consider the Royal Hawaiian or the Sheraton Moana Surfrider that are located on Waikiki Beach. For those that are on a budget, then if they stay away from the beach, even as little of a distance as a block, they are going to find significantly lower prices. And around them they are going to find tons of restaurants, clubs, and other activities where they can spend their hard-earned money, so saving on the hotel is something that most people are willing to sacrifice.

    Beaches

The Oahu's South Shores is some of the calmest waters that you are going to find in the area. It is a great place to swim and to get some sun throughout the year. However, during the summer there are tons of people here since they are surfing and enjoying everything that the beach has to offer.

The good news is that Waikiki is basically a long string of beaches, so the person is going to have a few to choose from. Meaning that you are going to be able to find those that are crowded and those that are lower key. The Kahanamoku Beach and Lagoon is located in front of Hilton Hawaiian Village and is named after Olympic swimmer Duke Kahanamoku. Fort De Russy Beach is a military owned area, and is located towards Diamond Head. This beach is basically undisturbed with buildings being in the area, and offers some great beachfront to enjoy without the hustle and bustle of city life to interfere with their time on the beach.

The Royal Hawaiian and the Sheraton Moana Beaches are further down and are very impressive. The Royal Hawaiian is built artificially so that it can get the full effect of the Sun perfectly. This is the place to be for those that want to work on their tans and want to see the most people clad in their new fashion bikinis.

For those that want to rent a surfboard or body board, they can do so at Waikiki Beach Center for only eight dollars per hour, which is relatively cheap for a good time that you are bound to have. This is located across the Hyatt Regency and Hawaiian Regent Hotel.

The Kuhio Beach Park is where Prince Kuhio Kalaniana'ole's house was once. This is a great beach to play beach volleyball. And it is the place to find some beach that is less crowded that other types of beaches, while also finding some shade provided by the palm trees in the area which can be a great way to spend a hot and sunny day on the beach.

Most of all the beaches in the area are going to have lifeguards ready for action and provide showers and restrooms for those that are visiting the area.
