Queens Gate in Hawaii Kai is situated right near Sandy Beach and is one of the better known gated communities of the district. With 153 homes all built in the 1970s, most sit on the Hawaii Kai Gold Course, known as one of the best and most prestigious in the area. The houses are larger than the median size in the Hawaii Kai, with the homes themselves weighing in at an average of 2,000 square feet or greater and positioned on lots ranging from 7,000 to over 11,000 square feet. Queens Gate has two sections, named “Gate 1” and “Gate 2”, and only has a couple of streets, making for a very close knit community. The neighbourhood has never been more in demand than in today’s real estate market, because it has an incredibly community feel while still being large enough to offer generous amenities to it’s residents. These includes the famous golf course, tennis courts, a recreational center and even racquetball courts. In 2007 seven homes sold in Queens Gate, ranging from $900,000 up to $1.6 million for a home situated right on the golf course. 2008 saw nine homes sell, making it one of the few areas in the Hawaii Kai to sell more houses in 2008 than in 2007, with the bottom price being $863,000 and the higher end reaching 1.3 million.Search Queens Gate Hawaii Real Estate
